About Joanne Lefevre
I spent 23 years in the textile manufacturing industry as a Purchasing Agent, Director of Purchasing, Operations Manager and Plant Manager. After going through two plant closings in 6 years, I decided to make a career change. Change, change is good, so at age 55, I became a loan originator.
I took the mortgage 101 courses and began working for a small broker. I didn't want to spend my time making cold calls and began building relationships with realtors. One of those realtors asked me if I wanted to coach new real estate agents. Since I welcome a challenge, I began working with brand new real estate agents, helping them set and meet their goals. Needless to say, as the new realtors began producing, what better person to help with mortgages than me.
Since that time, I have continued to build and maintain relationships with many realtors. I have been in the mortgage industry for 12 years. My business philosophy is "I don't sell loans, I educate people in making smart housing financial decisions." I take pride in meeting with as many clients as possible to explain options, provide the best service I can, so that when any of my clients sit down at the closing table, there are no surprises.
